The airfield's story lives in a handful of books - some about Fersfield's operations directly, some about the wider world of the Eighth Air Force and RAF in East Anglia. This page is a work in progress!!

• Jack Olsen — Aphrodite: Desperate Mission

  The classic full-length account of the drone programme flown from Fersfield, including Joe Kennedy's death. First published 1970; second-hand copies are findable. Google Books record

• Roger A. Freeman — Airfields of the Eighth: Then and Now

  The standard reference for every Eighth Air Force station in England, Fersfield included — the book behind many of the station facts repeated online. (After the Battle; commonly listed under ISBN 0900913096 — we haven't yet verified the edition details first-hand.)

• R. McKenzie — Ghost Fields of Norfolk (2004)

  Norfolk's vanished airfields, with Fersfield covered at pages 39–42 — it's the work the county's official heritage record cites for this site.
