chapter there, memories fading. This site aims to gathers it into one
permanent, careful, welcoming home.

This site is curated by Vicki Malcolm a local resident, with the help of local historians, and her brother Gavin providing technical know how

The two promises

Every fact is sourced, but we appreciate your help. Each history page on this site lists where its information comes from, and primary sources are preferred. As time passes though sources can differ, so please reach out if you have a correction, or extra information

We respect the landowners. The old airfield is private land and a working farm. This site never encourages trespassing, and every page about the physical site points visitors to the public rights of way.
See visiting respectfully.

The longer game

Beyond telling the story, this project works towards a permanent
memorial to the people of Station 554 - the volunteers of the drone
missions and the crews of the Copenhagen raid among them. When those
plans are ready, more will be shared here.
